Homefinder UK - pre-registration eligibility form

Welcome to Homefinder UK

Homefinder UK is a national housing mobility scheme helping individuals and households who want or need to move to other parts of the country. This might be to find a home that better matches their household size, personal or financial circumstances.

The scheme is available to applicants registered with our member organisations who are willing to move nationwide including:

  • Homeless households
  • Applicants living in temporary accommodation
  • Private sector tenants threatened with homelessness
  • Victims & survivors of domestic abuse & grooming through our Revive project
  • Overcrowded families & social tenants

Please complete this pre-registration form to find out if the scheme is suitable for you.

To be eligible for Homefinder UK you must be a tenant of or registered with a participating housing association or council. We will tell if your organisation is a member during the form.

Please note we rarely obtain properties in London, and when we do these go to a shortlisting process offered to applicants who have been registered with our scheme the longest. The current waiting time for London properties is 3-4 years.

We are a National Mobility Scheme and properties are sourced in other areas of the UK where the demand is not as high.

Home Connections is currently working with King’s College London and the Centre for Homelessness Impact to understand the experiences of applicants who are receiving support from Homefinder UK to move to a new home. If you are eligible for the service, we may ask whether you are happy to help us with this project. We will explain what you would need to do, and you will be able to decide whether or not you want to be involved.
