It is important that you know there are 3 parts to a Home Point assessment and all 3 parts will impact on your banding. If you do not meet all of these things then your application will not be accepted. Please consider the following:
You need to be able to show that you are eligible for public funds. This is to do with your immigration status in the UK. You will need to provide us with proof of each household member’s immigration status so we can assess whether your application is eligible to go on Home Point.
If you are eligible then a financial assessment (means test) will be carried out. Those applicant’s whose gross annual household income is assessed as being over £35,000 per annum, if you do not have any dependents living as part of the household, or over £45,000 per annum, if you do have one or more dependents living as part of the household, then the maximum banding you can achieve is Band D regardless of your housing needs.
If you are eligible for public funds and your household gross annual income is below the applicable cut off point then the Home Point Team will assess your housing needs. Where you are found to have a housing need you are likely to be placed in one of bands A to D.”
All sections of this application need to be completed and all supporting evidence provided. Failure to do so will result in Home Point not being able to assess and register your application. We support the following the following file formats: pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, png, jpeg, jpg, bmp, tiff, gif, msg, maximum file size is 10MB.
